الخادمة او خادمة المنزل او العاملة في المنزل, هي امرأءة تعمل في مجال الخدمة المنزلية وعادةً ما تعمل عند الاسر الثرية في العصر الفكتوري. كانت الخدمة المنزلية ثاني أكبر فئه وظيفية في إنجلترا و ويلز بعد العمل الزراعي.
حسب التقاليد لدى الخادمات مواقع ثابته في التسلسل الهرمي للأسر الكبيرة وعلى الرغم من اختلاف التعاريف( اعتماداً على حجم الأسرة) من عادته مواقعهم ان تتبع و بشكل صارم. تصنيفات الخادمات المتبعة في الأسر الكبيرة عادةً هي:
خادمة السيدة: هي خادمة ذات اقدمية تجيب بشكل مباشر لسيدة المنزل, ولكن لا تزال ادنى مرتبة من مدبرة المنزل وتقوم بمرافقة سيدتها في السفر.
خادمة المنزل: هو مصطلح عام للخادمات وظيفتها خصوصا " في الطابق العلوي وهو الجزء الذي يعيش فيه اصحاب المنزل" وعادةً ما يكونون كبار في السن وافضل اجراً , حيث تشملت الأسرةالعديد من الخادمات ويكونون في كثير من الاحيان مقسمين فرعيا على النحو التالي:
رئيسة الخادمة: هي خادمة منزلية ذات اقدمية التي تجيب بشكل مباشرةً لمدبرة المنزل.( وتعرف ايضاً "بالخادمة المنزلية لردهة "في منشأة مع خادمة واحدة او اثنتين فقط في الطابق العلوي).
خادمة الردهة: خادمة الردهة تقوم بتنظيف و ترتيب غرفة الأستقبال و مناطق الردهة بحلول الصباح وغالباً ما تقوم بتقديم المشروبات في وقت شاي الظهر و احياناً العشاء ايضاً. يقومون بترتيب غرفة الدراسة والمكتبات , ويجيبون على نداء الخادم للخدمة.
خادمة الغرفة: خادمة الغرفة تقوم بالتنظيف و المحافظة على غرفة النوم وتضمن بقاء النيران مضاء في المواقد و توفير الماء الساخن.
خادمة المصبغة: خادمة المصبغة تقوم بالمحافظه على الفراش والمناشف و ايضاً غسل وتجفيف وكي ملابس الأسرة بأكملها بما في ذلك الخدم.
خادمة ردهة الطابق السفلي: هي النائبة العامة لخادمة ردهة المنزل في منشأة صغيرة والتي تحوي على خادمتين فقط من خادمات الطابق العلوي.
خادمة الحضانة: وهي احدى خادمات الطابق العلوي ولكنها تعمل في حضانة الأطفال و تحافظ على النيران والنظافة و النظام وتجيب للمربية بدلا من مدبرة المنزل.
خادمة المطبخ:هي من خادمات الطابق السفلي (الجزء الذي يعمل ويعيشُ فيه الخدم) و تجيب للطاهٍ و تمساعد في إدارة المطابخ.
رئيسة خادمة المطبخ: حيث يعمل عدد من خادمات المطبخ تقوم رئيسة خادمة المطبخ بالعمل كنائب للطاهٍ وتشاركة في الطبخ البسيط والسهل (واحيانا في طهو وجبات الخدم)
اقل مِن خادمة المطبخ: حيث عدد من خادمات المطبخ يعملون وهم الذي يقوم بإعداد الخضروات و تقشير البطاطا وتقديم المساعدة لإنهاء طهو وجبة الطعام.
